Dr. Hayder Al-Saadi

Dr. Hayder Al-Saadi is a consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, where he leads the treatment of complex bone and joint injuries. With 27 years of clinical experience, he has performed over 4,000 surgical procedures. He trained at Baghdad University's Medical College (where he ranked 2nd in his cohort) and obtained advanced qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He completed his PhD in Trauma & Orthopaedics from Jordan University and holds fellowships in advanced trauma techniques from the UK, Spain, and Switzerland.

Dr. Al-Saadi specialises in treating all types of bone fractures and their complications, including malunion (when a bone heals in the wrong position) and non-union (when a fracture fails to heal). He manages complex upper and lower limb fractures, pelvic injuries, and joint surgery. His approach combines evidence-based surgical technique with ongoing professional development — he has been a faculty speaker at over 100 international courses and congresses, and previously co-directed the Dubai Residency Programme in Orthopaedics and Trauma, training the next generation of specialists.

Dr. Al-Saadi is well-regarded in academic orthopaedics, serving as an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at Dubai Medical University and Mohammed Bin Rashid University. He reviews manuscripts for leading surgical journals and was the UAE Chapter Co-Leader for the COVID-SURG international research collaboration.
