Dr. Nadia Riaz

Dr Nadia Riaz is a UK board-certified Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with 18 years of clinical experience. She trained extensively in the UK through Health Education England's North West programme (2008–2020), working at leading teaching hospitals including Manchester University Hospitals, Liverpool Women's Hospital, Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, and Nottingham and Derby University Hospitals. She holds the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG). Before joining Danat Al Emarat Hospital in Abu Dhabi, she worked as a consultant at Corniche Hospital and Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in the UK.

Dr Nadia manages the full range of obstetric and gynaecological conditions. In pregnancy, she specializes in high-risk cases—including women with complex medical histories, multiple prior abdominal surgeries (such as previous caesarean sections, fibroids removal, or organ transplant), and those seeking vaginal birth after caesarean delivery. She is trained in cervical assessment and cervical cerclage procedures to prevent early labour. Outside pregnancy, she treats menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, endometriosis, polycystic ovary disease, and menopausal symptoms. She performs a wide range of surgical procedures—both minimally invasive (laparoscopy, hysteroscopy) and open surgery—including fibroid and polyp removal, hysterectomy, management of ovarian cysts, and treatment of prolapse. She also has advanced training in fertility assessment and management of recurrent pregnancy loss.

Dr Nadia believes in shared decision-making tailored to each woman's circumstances, acknowledging physical, psychological, and spiritual needs. She supports couples with contraception counselling and fertility investigations, and she takes a holistic approach to women's health across all life stages. She is also an educational supervisor for RCOG trainees.
