Dr. Yaser Husein Ali

Dr Yaser Ali is a consultant neonatologist with more than 22 years of experience caring for seriously ill newborns. He completed his Arab and Iraqi Board training in Pediatrics in 2000, followed by a fellowship in neonatology at the University of Manitoba in Canada in 2013. He has been practicing in the UAE for over 5 years, where he focuses on lung ultrasound and feeding support for newborns.

Dr Ali specializes in both invasive and non-invasive ventilation for newborns, including high-frequency oscillatory ventilation, conventional mechanical ventilation, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula support. He manages complex lung conditions such as air-leak syndromes (needle drainage and chest tube placement) and persistent pulmonary hypertension. His other key skills include hemodynamic monitoring using point-of-care ultrasound, advanced nutritional support including human milk fortification, therapeutic hypothermia for brain cooling, exchange transfusion for severe jaundice, and neonatal transport stabilization.

Dr Ali has a particular interest in invasive and non-invasive ventilation, nutrition based on exclusive human milk, and bedside ultrasound. He regularly presents at international training workshops and conferences, and has published research in peer-reviewed medical journals. He is a good fit for families of critically ill newborns requiring intensive care, specialized respiratory support, or advanced procedural interventions.
