Dr. Jayasheela Kannan

Dr. Jayasheela Kannan is a neonatologist with over 25 years of clinical experience managing newborns in intensive care settings. She trained at leading pediatric institutions across India, including Madras Medical College, Sri Ramachandra Medical University, and the Institute of Child Health, before moving to the UAE. Her background spans both routine newborn care and complex conditions requiring advanced NICU support.

Throughout her career, Dr. Kannan has held progressively senior roles including Senior Registrar and Junior Consultant in Neonatology, Assistant Professor in the Neonatology Department, and Senior Resident at specialist children's hospitals. She previously worked as a Consultant Neonatologist at Sir Ivan Stedeford Hospital in Chennai, where she established a dedicated Child Development Center to provide structured follow-up care for newborns after discharge from intensive care.

She works with families managing both straightforward newborn needs and high-risk conditions, offering comprehensive NICU expertise grounded in three decades of practice across India and the UAE.
