Dr. Mohammad Ilyas Bader

Dr. Mohammad Ilyas Bader is a consultant paediatric and neonatal surgeon at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, with over 25 years of clinical experience. He trained extensively in the UK, completing his medical degree at the University of Punjab, Pakistan, followed by specialist training in paediatric surgery and urology in the West Midlands. He undertook prestigious fellowships at leading children's hospitals including Melbourne Children's Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, and Evelina Children's Hospital in London. Throughout his career, he has worked at major paediatric centres including Birmingham Children's Hospital, Alder Hey Children's Hospital, and Southampton General Hospital, and held the position of head of paediatric surgery and urology at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr. Bader specializes in diagnosing and treating complex urological and surgical conditions in children and newborns. His expertise spans genital abnormalities (ambiguous genitalia, buried penis, micropenis, penile chordee), bladder dysfunction and management, neuromodulation techniques including percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation, and reconstructive procedures such as hypospadias repair, pyeloplasty, and urethroplasties. He also manages testicular and renal conditions, hernias, undescended testis, and urinary tract infections in children. He is experienced in both open and laparoscopic surgical approaches, as well as endoscopic treatments and prenatal counselling for urological and surgical conditions.

Dr. Bader has been actively involved in teaching and training medical students and professionals, serving as an examiner for King's College London and Oxford University. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of the British Association of Paediatric Urologists, reflecting his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of paediatric surgical care.
