Dr. Walaa Yusif

Dr. Walaa Yusif is a Geriatric Specialist at Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital and Medcare Hospital Al Safa in Dubai. She completed her medical degree (MBBCh) at Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt, and went on to earn both a Master's degree and a PhD in Geriatric Medicine from the same institution. She is a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK) and holds memberships in the Emirates Geriatrics Society and the British Geriatrics Society.

Dr. Yusif has over 10 years of experience in geriatric care. She began her career as a resident in the Geriatric Medicine Department at Ain Shams University Hospital, progressing to Assistant Lecturer and then Lecturer before working as a Geriatric Specialist in several JCI-accredited hospitals across Egypt. Her expertise covers the full spectrum of older-adult medicine: managing multiple chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, heart failure, thyroid disorders, COPD, and asthma, as well as age-related syndromes including confusion (delirium), dementia, osteoporosis, falls, Parkinson's disease, depression, urinary incontinence, and sleep problems. She also provides preventive care through vaccination counselling and screening programmes tailored for seniors.

Dr. Yusif is actively engaged in research, with publications in both national and international journals.
