Dr. Mohammed Alkatary is an Associate Professor and Consultant in General Surgery, Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi. With over 30 years of surgical experience, he is recognised for his expertise across general surgery, emergency procedures, and advanced minimally invasive techniques including robotic surgery. He holds an International Fellowship from the American College of Surgeons and has worked in several leading UAE hospitals, including Mafraq Hospital and Burjeel Medical City.

Dr. Alkatary specialises in emergency and general surgical procedures, trauma management, and acute care surgery. He is experienced in laparoscopic and robotic approaches, which allow for smaller incisions, less tissue damage, and faster recovery compared to traditional open surgery. Beyond clinical practice, he serves as an Assistant Professor at Mansoura University, where he teaches medical students and surgical trainees, and contributes to surgical knowledge as an Executive Editor and peer reviewer for prestigious medical journals, having reviewed over 80 publications.
