Dr. Rauan Alashkar

Dr. Rauan Alashkar is a clinical dietician at Medcare with 12 years of experience helping patients manage health through proper diet and nutrition. She holds a Master's degree in Sport Nutrition from Jordanian University and completed her foundational training in Diet and Nutrition at Applied Science University, Jordan. She has worked across multiple healthcare settings including Fitgate Centre, Wellness by Design, Rami Hamed Centre, and the American Spine Centre, building broad expertise in clinical nutrition support.

Dr. Alashkar treats a range of nutrition-related conditions including malnutrition, swallowing difficulties, unintended weight loss, kidney disease, food allergies and intolerances, eating disorders, and celiac disease. She also provides nutrition guidance for patients managing stroke recovery, orthopedic conditions, liver disease, respiratory conditions, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and gynecological conditions. She works with bariatric surgery patients, athletes, pregnant women, and those requiring specialized diets such as gluten-free or lactose-free.

She is a member of the American Nutrition Association and takes a personalized approach to nutrition counseling. Dr. Alashkar works with patients aged 12 and above, including intensive care patients and older adults. Outside medicine, she enjoys traveling, exploring new cuisines, and cooking.
