Dr Ehab Kheir is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with extensive training in the UK, where he completed his trauma and orthopaedics training in Yorkshire. He has undertaken two highly specialised foot and ankle fellowships in Leeds and Wirral, working with nationally recognised expert surgeons. He was admitted to the GMC Specialist Register in 2016.
Dr Kheir specialises in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, including sports injuries, joint replacement, arthroscopy, cartilage treatment, minimally invasive techniques, fusion surgery, ligament and tendon repair, nerve problems, stress fractures, and revision surgery. Beyond foot and ankle work, he has significant experience in general trauma and lower limb joint replacement, managing hip and knee fractures and complex cases involving replacements and fractures around existing implants. During his training, he completed a Master of Science degree in biomechanical engineering from the University of Leeds, researching cartilage tissue engineering and bone matrix decellularization.
Dr Kheir is passionate about teaching and collaborative care. He works closely with specialist nurses, orthotists, podiatrists and physiotherapists to provide comprehensive patient treatment. He teaches on multiple courses for doctors, surgeons and allied healthcare professionals, and maintains close university affiliation where he mentors medical students and junior doctors.
