Dr. Sunita Sahu

Dr. Sunita Sahu is a consultant psychiatrist at Mediclinic Dubai with over 30 years of experience in mental health and neuropsychiatric care. She trained in the UK to become a senior consultant before moving to Dubai, bringing deep expertise in assessing and managing a wide range of psychiatric conditions affecting adults.

She treats depression, anxiety, OCD, panic disorder, stress-related conditions, bipolar disorder, psychosis (including schizophrenia), ADHD, and neurodegenerative conditions like dementia and Alzheimer's disease. She also has experience with dual diagnosis (mental illness combined with addiction), adjustment disorders, and mental health issues linked to menopause and chronic illness. Her approach combines psychological and medication-based treatments within a holistic model that considers the biological, psychological and social factors affecting each patient.

Dr. Sahu practises person-centred, evidence-based medicine and is passionate about patient education and reducing stigma around mental health in the community.
