Dr. Ankit Ranjan

Dr. Ankit Ranjan is a Specialist Neonatologist at Medeor Hospital in Dubai with over six years of experience managing critically ill newborns at tertiary care centers. He completed his medical training in India, earning honors in his MBBS in 2012 and his MD in Pediatrics in 2017 from a leading institute in Mumbai. He then pursued specialized training, obtaining his DM (Doctor of Medicine) in Neonatology from the prestigious Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh. He has also completed postgraduate training in pediatric nutrition from Boston University School of Medicine.

Dr. Ranjan specializes in caring for extremely premature babies and newborns with complex medical needs. His clinical expertise includes advanced respiratory support (from non-invasive methods like CPAP to high-frequency ventilation), minimally invasive surfactant delivery, newborn feeding support, and neonatal ultrasound. He manages conditions such as birth asphyxia, severe infection, jaundice, and meconium aspiration syndrome. He is trained in neonatal resuscitation through the IAP-NNF program and holds certifications in point-of-care ultrasound and quality improvement from international programs.

Beyond direct patient care, Dr. Ranjan is involved in training junior doctors and nurses and serves as faculty for the Indian Academy of Pediatrics Neonatology Fellowship program. He is committed to evidence-based practice and has published multiple papers in indexed medical journals. He brings a focus on both advanced medical care and developmentally sensitive approaches such as kangaroo care and pain management for vulnerable newborns.
