Prof. Hamdi Farag

Prof. Hamdi Farag is an Assistant Professor of General and Laparoscopic Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Azhar University, with more than 16 years of clinical experience in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. He graduated from Azhar University's Faculty of Medicine in 2005, completed a three-year general surgery residency, and went on to earn a Master's degree in General Surgery and Laparoscopy in 2009 and a Doctorate (MD) in General and Laparoscopic Surgery in 2014.

Prof. Farag specializes in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, bariatric surgery for weight management, and cancer surgery. He is skilled in diagnosing and treating a wide range of surgical conditions using minimally invasive techniques, which reduce recovery time and scarring compared to open surgery. His expertise spans gallbladder removal, hernia repair, thyroid surgery, bowel obstruction management, and colorectal conditions.
