Dr. Mohamed Halim Zaki

Dr. Mohamed Halim Zaki is a dual-trained Nuclear Medicine radiologist with nearly two decades of clinical experience in the UK before joining American Hospital Dubai. He graduated from Alexandria University in Egypt and completed specialist training in both clinical radiology and nuclear medicine in the United Kingdom, where he held consultant positions at leading hospitals including King's College Hospital London and Nottingham University Hospitals.

Dr. Zaki specializes in advanced imaging techniques including PET/CT scans for cancer detection and non-cancer conditions like infections and inflammation, as well as SPECT/CT imaging for heart, bone, and thyroid assessment. He offers radioisotope therapy — a targeted treatment using radioactive substances — for thyroid disease, neuroendocrine tumors, and cancers of the liver and prostate. His expertise spans myocardial perfusion imaging, bone scans, and specialized scans like MAG-3 and HIDA for kidney and biliary assessment.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists and holds membership in the British Nuclear Medicine Society and European Society of Radiology. Dr. Zaki is well-suited for patients requiring complex imaging diagnosis of cancer and other systemic diseases, or those needing targeted radioisotope treatment options.
