Dr. Amod Gajanan Tilak

Dr. Amod Gajanan Tilak is a Specialist Urologist with over 30 years of clinical experience in India and the UAE. He trained at Grant Medical College and JJ Group of Hospitals in Mumbai, where he obtained his Master's in General Surgery, followed by Fellowship in Urology (FAIS) with the Association of Surgeons of India and specialist training at Bombay Hospital and MRC Mumbai (1989–1991). After 22 years of private practice in Mumbai, he relocated to Abu Dhabi to broaden his experience, working at a prestigious hospital for five years before joining Burjeel Holdings.

Dr. Amod specializes in endourology (minimally invasive urinary tract procedures), urethral stricture disease, and urethroplasty (surgical repair of the urethra). He also treats kidney and bladder stones using endoscopic techniques and laser lithotripsy, manages prostate conditions including enlargement and cancer, handles male infertility and varicocele surgery, and treats incontinence and erectile dysfunction. He has a strong publication record and has presented research at conferences across India.

He was faculty at the Urological Society of India's Board of Education in 2013 and contributed a chapter on stricture management to an educational textbook. Dr. Amod is a member of the Association of Surgeons of India, Urology Society of India, International Society of Urology, and Emirates Urology Society. He has also led community health camps in Mumbai focused on prostate awareness.
