Dr. Jose Mathew

Dr Jose Mathew is a Specialist Gastroenterologist at NMC Medical Centre, Buhairah Corniche, Abu Dhabi, with over 18 years of clinical experience. He completed his MBBS and MD in Internal Medicine at Government Medical College, Trivandrum, India, then earned his DM (Doctorate of Medicine) in Gastroenterology from the same institution. He received specialized training in advanced endoscopy and ERCP (a technique to treat bile duct and pancreatic problems) at ANSH Clinic. His qualifications include DNB (Diplomate of National Board, India), MNAMS (National Academy of Medical Sciences, India), and MRCP (Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians, UK).

Dr Mathew manages a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions including indigestion, acid reflux, constipation, diarrhea, and inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. He is skilled in liver disorders including fatty liver disease, viral hepatitis, and cirrhosis with its complications (bleeding, fluid buildup, brain complications).
