Dr. Samer Almohamed Jamil

Dr. Samer Jamil is an ophthalmologist with over 17 years of experience treating a wide range of eye conditions. He trained in Syria, earning his medical degree from Aleppo University and completing specialist training through the Syrian Ministry of Health. He later undertook advanced fellowship training in corneal diseases, corneal transplants, and vision-correction surgery. He is now certified by the Syrian Board of Ophthalmology and holds licensing approval from both the Dubai Health Authority and UAE Ministry of Health.

Dr. Jamil specializes in cataract removal, glaucoma treatment, corneal disease, and vision-correction procedures. He has performed over 2,000 cataract surgeries using microincision techniques, and more than 2,000 refractive procedures including LASIK, PRK, and implantable contact lenses. He is skilled in advanced glaucoma operations such as trabeculectomy and Ahmed valve implantation, as well as eye-muscle correction surgery and eyelid and tear-duct procedures. He uses laser treatments and employs advanced diagnostic imaging—OCT, corneal mapping, visual field testing, and fluorescein angiography—to plan treatment precisely.
