Dr. Sara Kazim

Dr. Sara Kazim is Chair of the Emergency Department at Dubai Health, leading emergency medicine services across the health system. She is a Consultant Medical Toxicologist and Emergency Physician with a decade of experience in high-acuity care. Dr. Kazim earned a Master's in Healthcare Management from RCSI (2015) and an Executive MBA (2022), combining clinical expertise with strategic healthcare leadership.

Dr. Kazim's clinical focus spans emergency medicine and medical toxicology, with particular expertise in managing acute poisoning, overdose, and toxic exposures. She founded the UAE's first Toxicology Consultation Service, which has significantly reduced hospital admissions for acute poisoning cases. Her work includes management of major bleeding with anticoagulant overdose, high-flow oxygen therapy in respiratory distress, and pediatric medication dosing. She has contributed to clinical research on infection severity scoring and emergency care pathways.

She is an excellent fit for patients requiring emergency care or consultation for suspected poisoning or toxicological emergencies. Dr. Kazim is committed to patient-centered care and has led quality improvement initiatives, including the RIHLA project at Rashid Hospital, which reduced waiting times and enhanced patient experience.
