Dr. Ahmed Shabana

Dr Ahmed Shabana is an experienced ophthalmologist with more than 17 years of practice across multiple countries. He trained at Cairo University and Al Azhar University in Egypt, completed specialist training in Switzerland at Jules-Gonin Hospital, and pursued advanced glaucoma training in Barcelona. He holds membership in the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and is a Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology with glaucoma sub-speciality certification. He has led ophthalmology departments in several hospitals across the UAE and is recognised as one of the most experienced surgeons in the country.

Dr Shabana treats a full range of eye conditions in children and adults, with particular expertise in complex glaucoma and cataract surgery. He performs advanced refractive surgery including LASIK, SMILE, PRK, and ICL procedures, and has performed more presbyopia LASIK corrections than any other surgeon in the UAE. He also manages corneal diseases, eyelid disorders, uveitis, and retinal conditions using the full spectrum of modern surgical techniques, from minimally invasive glaucoma surgery to phacoemulsification with premium lens implants.
