Dr. Ciara Icay

Ms. Ciara Icay is a Laser Technician in the Department of Dermatology at Medcare Medical Centre in Dubai, with 8 years of healthcare experience. She holds a BSc in Nursing from Aklan Catholic College in the Philippines and a Diploma as a Certified Laser Technician from Villa Fortuny Training Centre in Dubai. She is also a Registered Nurse qualified in both the USA (New York State) and Canada (British Columbia).

Ms. Icay specializes in laser-based therapeutic and aesthetic procedures for the skin. She treats a wide range of skin conditions including oily and congested skin, dull and dehydrated skin, blackheads and whiteheads, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone and texture, and excessive unwanted body and facial hair. She manages every step of the patient journey—from reviewing medical history and explaining the procedure and its risks, through calibrating and operating the laser equipment, to providing detailed aftercare instructions.

She began her nursing career in the Philippines as a Staff Nurse in intensive care, medical and surgical wards, and paediatric and obstetric services. She then moved to the UAE, where she worked as a Dermatology and Aesthetic Nurse and Laser Technician at Clinique des Champs-Élysées before joining Medcare. Ms. Icay is a member of the Philippine Nurses Association and is known for her careful, patient-centered approach to laser therapy.
