Dr. Mohammed Arif Syed

Dr. Mohammed Arif Syed is a Consultant Radiologist with more than 15 years of experience in clinical radiology. He trained extensively in the UK, completing specialist training in Clinical Radiology at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust from 2007 to 2012, including a dedicated fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. Prior to joining HealthPoint in Abu Dhabi, he held a consultant position in musculoskeletal radiology at University Hospitals of Leicester and operated private practices at Woodlands Hospital in Kettering and Spire Leicester Hospital.

Dr. Syed specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, from acute soft tissue and bone injuries to chronic problems like arthritis and spinal disorders. He uses advanced imaging techniques—X-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI scans—to guide minimally invasive treatments. He has particular expertise in managing back pain and spinal issues, imaging bone and soft tissue cancers, administering joint injections for pain relief, and performing ultrasound examinations of small joints in the hands and feet.

He is actively involved in training junior doctors and radiographers and previously directed the Leicester Radiology Training Scheme. He holds fellowships from the Royal College of Radiologists and membership of the Royal College of Physicians UK, reflecting his commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
