Dr. Andrew P. Saffin

Dr. Andrew Saffin is a Staff Physician in the Anesthesiology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Integrated Hospital Care Institute. He completed his medical degree at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, and finished his residency in anesthesiology at Port Elizabeth Hospital Complex under the College of Anaesthetists of South Africa. Before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he spent several years in private practice in Port Elizabeth, where he developed a special interest in acute pain management while serving multiple large private hospitals.

Dr. Saffin brings broad clinical expertise across all aspects of anesthesia, including general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, ultrasound-guided nerve blocks, and sedation. He has also worked in intensive care units in both public and private settings, and spent time at the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital in Cape Town, broadening his experience across adult and pediatric populations.

He is well-suited for patients requiring comprehensive perioperative care, pain management during recovery, or sedation for procedures. Dr. Saffin is based in Abu Dhabi and speaks English and Afrikaans.
