Dr. Betty John

Dr. Betty John is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Medcare Hospital Sharjah, with over 28 years of experience. She trained at BJ Medical College in Pune, India, where she completed her medical degree and specialist diploma, then earned qualifications from the National Board of India, Royal Colleges in the UK, and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She has also trained in advanced techniques including keyhole gynaecological surgery in Germany and fertility treatment in the USA.

Dr. John has worked across India and the UAE, beginning as a registrar at BARC Hospital in Mumbai, then spending nearly a decade as a specialist at Al Dhaid Government Hospital in the Emirates, where she independently managed routine and emergency obstetric and gynaecological cases. She has held specialist and consultant positions at multiple hospitals in Sharjah, including roles as Head of Department at Zulekha Hospital and NMC Royal Hospital, and has taught at Gulf Medical University and Sharjah University.
