Dr. Umeeta Balhar

Dr. Umeeta is a specialist ophthalmologist at LLH Hospital in Abu Dhabi, with over 9 years of experience in government and private practice across Pakistan and the UAE. She completed her medical degree (MBBS) from Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences in Pakistan and went on to obtain specialist training in ophthalmology (FCPS) from the College of Physicians & Surgeons, Pakistan.

Dr. Umeeta has broad expertise across eye care, from common problems like refractive errors and allergies to complex conditions including corneal disorders, glaucoma, and retinal disease. She performs a wide range of procedures, including cataract surgery using phacoemulsification (a modern keyhole technique), pterygium removal without stitches, laser treatment for retinal problems, and cornea transplants. She also manages diabetic eye complications and treats corneal conditions such as keratoconus, and has experience with eye trauma and open-globe injuries.
