Dr. Ahmed Elshenoufy

Dr. Ahmed Elshenoufy is a consultant urologist at Medcare Sharjah with three decades of clinical experience. He holds a Fellowship of the European Board of Urology and advanced degrees (MD and MSc in Urology) from Cairo University's Faculty of Medicine, where he also served as a Professor of Urology. His career spans hospital practice across Egypt and the Gulf region.

Dr. Elshenoufy treats a wide range of urological conditions affecting men, women, and children. He specializes in bladder disorders—including neurogenic bladder (loss of bladder control due to nerve damage), overactive bladder, and painful bladder syndrome—as well as sexual dysfunction, infertility, kidney cancer cases, and congenital urinary tract abnormalities in children. He is skilled in female continence problems (involuntary leakage).

His procedural expertise includes endoscopic (keyhole) stone removal from the kidney, ureter, and bladder; laser lithotripsy (stone fragmentation); prostate resection; urethral surgery; ultrasound imaging of the pelvis and kidneys; and renal transplant surgery. Dr. Elshenoufy is an active member of the Egyptian Urological Association, European Urological Association, and Egyptian Society of Laparoscopic Surgery.
