Dr. Ashraf Salem

Dr. Ashraf Salem is a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at Burjeel Day Surgery Center in Abu Dhabi, bringing over 33 years of clinical experience in orthopedic and trauma surgery. He trained at Ain Shams University in Egypt, where he earned his medical degree with honors in 1988, followed by a master's and doctorate in orthopedic surgery. After relocating to the United Kingdom in 2002, he completed advanced surgical training and worked as a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon for more than 18 years, earning his Fellowship from the Royal Colleges of Surgeons in London and the Intercollegiate Fellowship in Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery.

Dr. Salem's practice focuses on foot and ankle conditions, including sports injuries, Achilles tendon problems, heel pain, bunions, and toe deformities. He performs ankle joint replacement and uses arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques for most procedures, reducing recovery time and tissue damage compared to open surgery. His broad experience spans trauma surgery and sports medicine, allowing him to manage both acute injuries and chronic joint problems with precision.

He is fluent in English and Arabic, making him accessible to a diverse patient population.
