Dr. Yaaqoub Abdulla Al Hammadi

Dr. Yaaqoub Abdulla Al Hammadi is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with over 20 years of experience, having graduated from Glasgow University in the UK. He completed comprehensive training across the UK's leading centres in Glasgow, Manchester, and London, where he worked in the NHS from 1997 to 2010. During this time, he gained extensive experience in sports orthopaedics, including work with one of London's foremost knee and sports surgeons, Dr. Andrew Williams, treating numerous professional athletes including footballers and rugby players.

Before joining Mediclinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Al Hammadi held a senior leadership role at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, where he served as Chief of Orthopaedics and Deputy Chief Medical Officer for two years. He specialises in knee surgery across all age groups, from children to adults, and provides comprehensive services including knee replacement (partial and total), complex ligament reconstruction, arthroscopic procedures, meniscal repair and removal, and correction of knee deformities through osteotomy.

Dr. Al Hammadi is particularly suited to patients requiring specialist knee surgery, whether for degenerative conditions, sports injuries, or complex reconstructions. His extensive background in managing professional athletes gives him expertise in restoring function and return to activity.
