Dr. Shaimaa Al-Janabi

Dr. Shaimaa Al-Janabi is a Consultant Anatomic & Histopathology with over 20 years of dedicated pathology experience, including academic research, structured training, and independent diagnostic practice. She completed her specialist residency in Histopathology at Amsterdam University Medical Centre and holds a Master's degree and PhD in Pathology from Utrecht University, where her research focused on digital pathology and whole-slide imaging technology. She has worked at consultant level for the past 5 years across leading academic and tertiary centers in the Netherlands.

Dr. Al-Janabi's diagnostic expertise centers on gastrointestinal and lung pathology, with solid experience in kidney and urinary tract pathology, breast disease assessment, skin pathology, and cell samples from fine needle aspirations. She is skilled in recognizing dysplasia (abnormal cell changes), immunohistochemistry staining to identify specific proteins like HER2 in breast cancers and predictive markers in lung cancers, and delivering precise diagnoses in both straightforward and complex cases. Her work supports multidisciplinary team discussions and clinical decision-making.
