Dr. Asif ​Sattar

Dr. Asif Sattar is a Consultant Pulmonologist at King's College Hospital London (Dubai) with over a decade of specialist training across leading UK respiratory centres. He qualified in medicine from Manipal University in India, then completed specialist training in Respiratory and Internal Medicine through the West Midlands training programme, working at Kettering Hospital NHS and centres of excellence in Leeds, Sheffield, and Birmingham.

In 2008, Dr. Sattar moved to Dubai to establish the Pulmonology Department at Mediclinic City Hospital, where he has since built a comprehensive lung disease practice. He specializes in managing severe asthma, chronic persistent cough, interstitial lung disease (scarring of the lungs), and obstructive sleep apnea. He regularly performs fibre optic bronchoscopy—a minimally invasive procedure to visualize the airways—and transbronchial lung biopsy to diagnose complex lung conditions.
