Dr. Irfana Essa Karjikar

Dr. Irfana Essa Karjikar is a Senior Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialist with over 32 years of clinical experience across India, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. She completed her medical degree from the University of Bombay in 1984, followed by a diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Bombay in 1987, and an MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1988. She began her practice in Mumbai in 1988 and worked extensively in Saudi Arabia from 1989 to 2013 before relocating to the UAE.

Dr. Karjikar has broad experience managing obstetric and gynaecological emergencies, including pregnancy care (antenatal and high-risk pregnancies), postnatal care, family planning, infertility assessment and treatment, gynaecological cancer screening and management, menopausal symptoms, adolescent gynaecology, and pelvic ultrasound. She is also trained in colposcopy, a procedure to examine the cervix for abnormal changes.
