Dr. Farhat Arsalan

Dr. Farhat Arsalan is a Consultant General and Laparoscopic Surgeon at Zulekha Hospital Sharjah, with 21 years of clinical experience. She trained in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, completing four years of supervised surgical residency. She worked for over 12 years across four hospitals in Saudi Arabia, including as Chair of the Surgical Division at Aldara Hospital in Riyadh and Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Al Faisal Medical University, before joining Zulekha Hospital.

Dr. Arsalan specializes in a broad range of general surgical procedures, from routine operations to complex cases. Her main areas of focus include thyroid surgery (lobectomy, total thyroidectomy), breast surgery (lumpectomy, mastectomy, breast-conserving approaches), hernia repair (open and laparoscopic), gallbladder and appendix surgery, colorectal procedures, and trauma management. She is skilled in advanced laparoscopic techniques and handles surgical emergencies across all these areas, with careful attention to preoperative assessment, patient counselling, and postoperative care.

Dr. Arsalan is well-qualified, holding the Arab Board in General Surgery, Fellowship from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons Glasgow, and Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons. She is multilingual and holds surgical licenses in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
