Dr. Alaa Ashi

Dr. Alaa Ashi is a vascular surgeon with over 11 years of clinical experience in open and endovascular procedures. He trained in Syria and holds an MD and MSc in Vascular Surgery, licensed by both the Syrian Ministry of Health and Dubai Health Authority. Before joining Zulekha Hospital Dubai, he led the Vascular Surgery Division at Hama National Hospital in Syria, where he managed high-volume cases and trained resident doctors.

He specializes in managing arterial, venous, and lymphatic conditions, including aortic aneurysm repair, peripheral artery disease, dialysis access creation, and varicose vein treatment. His surgical toolkit encompasses aortic surgery, arterial bypass and reconstruction, fistula creation for dialysis, aneurysm repair, and advanced varicose vein techniques using surgery, laser, and sclerotherapy. He has particular expertise in diabetic foot complications and limb salvage.
