Dr. Omaima Ali

Dr. Omaima Ali is a consultant endocrinologist with 19 years of clinical experience in managing hormonal and metabolic disorders. She completed her medical degree at Ahfad University for Women in Sudan, followed by specialist training in endocrinology and a doctorate in internal medicine. She holds membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK), European Board certification in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, and additional certification in obesity management from Melbourne University.

Dr. Omaima specialises in treating diabetes, thyroid conditions, obesity and other endocrine disorders. Before joining Saudi German Hospital in the UAE, she worked as a consultant endocrinologist and internal medicine specialist at King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia, and has additional experience across UAE hospitals. She has a particular clinical focus on obesity management and the care of pregnant women with high blood sugar levels.

Her commitment to advancing endocrinology practice is reflected in her involvement with international research and publications, and her active participation in endocrine societies worldwide. She contributed as an author to the International Diabetes Federation guideline on high blood sugar in pregnancy, demonstrating her expertise in this important area.
