Dr. Charles Badr Nagy Rafael

Dr Charles Nagy is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at Medcare Women & Children Hospital in Dubai, where he heads the multidisciplinary endometriosis centre. He is the first surgeon in the Middle East and only the second globally to be recognized as a Master Surgeon in multidisciplinary endometriosis care by the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists. With over 25 years of specialized experience, Dr Nagy has trained and worked across leading hospitals in the UK including Benenden Hospital, Whipps Cross University Hospital in London, and Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, before establishing his practice in the UAE.

Dr Nagy's clinical expertise centres on advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for endometriosis, including treatment of deep infiltrating disease causing infertility and pelvic pain, ovarian cyst removal, removal of fibroids, and tubal microsurgery. He also performs keyhole procedures for polycystic ovary syndrome, pelvic adhesions, and ectopic pregnancy. Beyond laparoscopy, he carries out hysteroscopic procedures such as removal of uterine septa, fibroid removal, and treatments for heavy menstrual bleeding without hysterectomy, as well as colposcopy and biopsies for early detection of cervical and vaginal cancers.

He is registered with the UK General Medical Council and holds accreditations in gynaecological ultrasound, colposcopy, and pelvic ultrasound.
