Dr. Khurram Rasheed

Dr. Khurram Rasheed is a Staff Physician in the Vascular Surgery Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute. He trained at Tufts Medical School in Boston and completed an Integrated Vascular Surgery residency at University of Rochester Medical Center. Before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he worked as a vascular surgeon and assistant professor at St. Luke's University Health Network in Pennsylvania, where he also taught general surgery residents and vascular surgery fellows.

Dr. Rasheed treats a wide range of complex vascular conditions using both minimally invasive endovascular techniques and traditional open surgery. His expertise includes carotid artery stenting with flow reversal (TCAR), endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms, creation of vascular access for dialysis, and limb-salvage procedures. He has performed over 2,000 peripheral angiograms and more than 100 transcarotid revascularization procedures, and was the first vascular surgeon in Pennsylvania to perform endovascular AV-fistula creation.

His clinical focus is on expanding minimally invasive options for patients with carotid disease, peripheral arterial disease, and aortic aneurysms. He has presented research at national meetings and published in the Journal of Vascular Surgery on outcomes and cost analysis of aortic aneurysm repair. He is a good fit if you have peripheral artery disease, carotid artery narrowing, aortic aneurysm, or need vascular access for dialysis and prefer less-invasive treatment options when possible.
