Dr. Edilson Forlin

Dr. Edilson Forlin is a paediatric orthopaedic surgeon with over 25 years of experience treating bone and joint problems in children and adolescents. He trained in Brazil, Delaware and Seattle, obtaining his master's degree in 1996 and PhD in 2000. He held the position of professor of orthopaedics at the Federal University of Paraná and served as former president of the Brazilian Pediatric Orthopaedic Society. Since 2019, he has been practising in Dubai, where he has treated more than 2,000 patients.

Dr. Forlin specialises in both non-surgical and surgical treatment of a wide range of childhood orthopaedic problems, including clubfoot, hip dysplasia, limb deformities, knock knees, bowlegs, leg-length differences, gait problems, bone infections, fractures, dislocations and cerebral palsy-related joint issues. He also offers conservative (non-surgical) management of scoliosis and other spine deformities. He is particularly recognised for his expertise in the Ponseti method for clubfoot correction, having trained with Dr. Ponseti in Iowa.

Dr. Forlin is internationally recognised in his field, having delivered over 150 presentations at conferences worldwide and published 25 research papers in international medical journals with more than 900 citations. He serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Paediatric Orthopaedics and Journal of Children Orthopaedics, and is an honorary member of several paediatric orthopaedic organisations globally.
