Dr. Dinesh Ramagowdanapura Sadasivan

Dr. Dinesh is a Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Burjeel in Abu Dhabi with over 26 years of experience in complex heart and chest surgery. He trained in India at prestigious institutions including Seth G. S. Medical College and KEM Hospital, and further developed his expertise through fellowship training and certifications in Australia, obtaining his Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery (2004–07) and his FACS credential in 2014.

Dr. Dinesh performs the full range of open-heart procedures including bypass surgery, valve replacements and repairs, septal defect repairs (holes in the heart wall), cardiac tumour removals, and minimally invasive video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS, or "keyhole" chest surgery). He has particular expertise in harvesting and using different types of grafts for bypass surgery, and takes special interest in beating-heart bypass techniques (off-pump surgery) that avoid stopping the heart during the operation. He has worked at internationally recognized cardiac centres including Fremantle Hospital in Australia and Narayana Hrudalaya and Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology in India.
