Dr. Unni Rajasekharan Nair

Dr. Unni Nair is a Consultant in the Department of Internal Medicine at Medcare Hospital, where he also serves as Clinical Faculty at the University of Sharjah's College of Medicine. He trained in India at Government Medical College, Kottayam and M.S Ramaiah Medical College in Bangalore, then completed postdoctoral fellowship training in critical care at Christian Medical College, Vellore. He holds both the European Diploma in Critical Care Medicine (EDIC) and the Indian equivalent (IDCCM), plus an MBA in Hospital Management.

Dr. Nair has nearly 20 years of experience managing patients across general internal medicine and critical care. He treats a broad range of conditions including diabetes, high blood pressure, thyroid disorders, gastrointestinal issues, abnormal cholesterol levels, metabolic problems, obesity, and anaemia. In intensive care settings, he specializes in ventilator management and uses advanced techniques such as non-invasive ventilation, BiPAP, central lines, and real-time heart monitoring to support critically ill patients with respiratory infections and asthma.

He is well suited to patients needing coordination across general medicine and intensive care, particularly those with complex or acute conditions requiring hospital-level intervention. Dr. Nair is fluent in English, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and Arabic.
