Dr. Khalid Bakr

Dr. Khalid Bakr is an Associate Staff Physician in the Cardiovascular Medicine Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute. He earned his medical degree from Mansoura University in Egypt and completed his cardiology residency at Mansoura University, followed by advanced training including a master's degree in cardiology from Zagazig University. With over two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Bakr has worked across the Middle East and undertaken specialized training in advanced cardiac support devices at Duke University in the United States.

Dr. Bakr specializes in the diagnosis and management of heart conditions including heart failure and coronary heart disease. He has particular expertise in post-heart transplant care and electrophysiology procedures, including ablation techniques for rhythm disorders. His training spans both general cardiology and specialized interventional work, building a broad foundation in cardiovascular care.

With a background across multiple healthcare systems in Egypt and Kuwait before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Bakr brings international experience to his practice. He is fluent in both English and Arabic, which helps him communicate effectively with a diverse patient population in the UAE.
