Dr. Maged Ghanem

Dr. Maged Ghanem is a Staff Physician in the Hospital Medicine Program at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Integrated Hospital Care Institute. He brings over 22 years of clinical experience in internal medicine, hospital medicine, and post-acute care, initially trained and practising in the United States before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. He completed his medical degree at Alexandria University in Egypt and his internal medicine residency at VA Wilkes-Barre in affiliation with the Medical Colleges of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ghanem has held leadership roles including Lead Internal Medicine Hospitalist and Medical Director of nursing homes, helping to build and oversee hospital medicine programmes. He has worked across multiple healthcare systems in the US, including Cleveland Clinic Ohio, Saint Vincent Medical Center in Erie, and Team Health's network. His background spans acute hospital care, chronic disease management in nursing facilities, and clinical research coordination.

Dr. Ghanem is known for his academic rigour and administrative contributions to healthcare delivery. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has participated in major clinical research, including studies on hepatitis C screening funded by pharmaceutical partners.
