Dr. Sherif Awad

Dr. Sherif Awad is a Consultant Laparoscopic, Upper Gastrointestinal, Bariatric and General Surgeon with over 25 years of surgical expertise, including more than 11 years as a Consultant Surgeon in the UK. He completed his medical training and surgical qualifications in the United Kingdom, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS) and earning his PhD from the University of Nottingham. He has practiced at leading hospitals in London, the East Midlands and Dubai, and now works at Emirates Specialty Hospital DHCC, where he focuses on minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Dr. Awad specializes in keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery for weight loss, stomach and esophageal conditions, reflux and hiatal hernias, and complex abdominal and groin hernias. He performs both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and handles emergency surgical conditions.
