Dr. Mary Xavier

Dr. Mary Jacqueline Xavier is a paediatrician with over three decades of clinical practice across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and India. She has been based at Mediclinic City Hospital, Dubai since 2015, where she provides comprehensive paediatric care. She is also an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at MBRU, combining clinical practice with academic teaching and mentorship. Dr Xavier trained in the UK and holds MRCPCH (Member of Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health) and DCH (Diploma in Child Health, Glasgow) qualifications, alongside her Indian medical degree.

Her main clinical focus is emergency paediatrics, newborn care in critical situations, and paediatric emergency medicine. She has particular expertise in stabilising and managing complex paediatric emergencies, as well as diagnosing and treating childhood infectious diseases and immune-related conditions. She brings evidence-based practice and clinical rigour to her work across all paediatric age groups, from newborns through adolescents.

Dr Xavier is an experienced educator and researcher with multiple peer-reviewed international publications to her name. She is recognised for combining excellent clinical judgment with a genuine commitment to child health and wellbeing, and has held leadership roles in medical education and clinical governance.
