Dr. Howaida Khair

Dr. Howaida is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 19 years of clinical experience in women's health and fetal medicine. She holds an MBBCh, MRCOG, FRCOG (Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists), and a Master's degree in Maternal Fetal Medicine from the University of Barcelona. She obtained her Certificate of Specialist Training (CST) from the UK and is registered with the Arab Board. Since moving to the UAE in 2004, she has built extensive expertise in fetal assessment and maternal care, including 10 years at Tawam Hospital.

Dr. Howaida specialises in fetal-maternal medicine, with particular skill in prenatal ultrasound screening and diagnosis. She is licensed by the Fetal Medicine Foundation for first-trimester screening and holds specialist accreditation in nuchal translucency measurement (a key early pregnancy scan for detecting fetal abnormalities). She completed an advanced diploma in obstetric ultrasound in 2013 and has continued to develop expertise in first-trimester scans, detailed mid-pregnancy scans, and fetal heart imaging (echocardiography).

She is experienced in counselling expectant parents when prenatal scans reveal potential fetal anomalies, helping families understand findings and plan appropriate care. Her approach combines rigorous clinical training with ongoing professional development in the latest fetal imaging techniques.
