Dr. Wissam Jamal Al Tamr

Dr Wissam Jamal Al Tamr is a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon and Paediatric Urologist with over 13 years of experience in paediatric surgery. He specialises in a wide range of surgical procedures for infants, children, and adolescents up to 14 years old, including both major and minor operations. His training includes a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Damascus University, followed by a Master's in Paediatric Surgery and Urology from the same institution.

Dr Al Tamr's clinical expertise spans minimal-invasive (keyhole) and open surgeries, neonatal surgery, thoracic surgery in children, urological procedures, gastrointestinal surgery, and plastic surgery including cleft lip and palate repair. He treats childhood tumours such as neuroblastoma, Wilms tumour, and teratoma, as well as common paediatric conditions including undescended testes, pyeloplasty, hypospadias, hernias, and bowel obstruction. He is experienced in both routine and complex procedures such as appendectomy, intestinal atresia repair, and diaphragmatic hernia correction.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr Al Tamr serves as an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Sharjah and Damascus University. He actively participates in national and international medical conferences as a speaker, demonstrating his commitment to advancing paediatric surgical care.
