Dr. Maryam Pezeshki

Dr. Maryam Pezeshki is an experienced consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 28 years of clinical practice. She trained in Oxford, UK, where she completed advanced training in complex labour management, minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery, and pelvic floor conditions. She has held senior consultant positions at Oxford University Hospitals and Milton Keynes University Hospital, where she led the urogynaecology service and worked extensively with high-risk pregnant women at a specialist centre.

Dr. Pezeshki has performed over 5,000 laparoscopic and open procedures, making her expert in keyhole surgery for conditions including fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and ectopic pregnancy. She specialises in treating pelvic floor problems—bladder and bowel prolapse, urinary leakage, and overactive bladder—using advanced reconstructive techniques such as sacrocolpopexy and pelvic sling procedures. She manages urinary incontinence with detailed investigation and offers both surgical and non-surgical options, including Botox injection into the bladder.

Dr. Pezeshki is skilled in all aspects of pregnancy care, from complex antenatal management through to delivery. She supports natural birth and water birth with careful protection of the pelvic floor and perineum, and has extensive experience managing difficult labour, multiple pregnancies, and high-risk cases.
