Dr. Hisham Hassan Abdelwahab

Dr Hisham Hassan Abdelwahab is a consultant nephrologist with more than 25 years of clinical experience in kidney disease management. He trained in Ireland and the United Kingdom, earning certification from the Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board of the United Kingdom as a Consultant Physician and Nephrologist. He holds the FRCP (Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians) London credential and an MMedSci degree. His career has spanned university teaching hospitals in the UK, military and civilian centres across the UAE, and leadership roles in Sudan.

Dr Abdelwahab specialises in the full spectrum of nephrology: chronic kidney disease management, haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, and kidney transplantation. He has held senior positions including Consultant Nephrologist at Cork University Hospital and Ysbyty Gwynned University Health Board, and served as head of the Nephrology Board at the Sudan Medical Specialization Board.

His main clinical interests are chronic kidney disease, dialysis care, and kidney transplantation. He is well suited for patients with progressive kidney disease, those requiring ongoing dialysis, or those considering or recovering from kidney transplant.
