Dr. Nita Zaji

Dr. Nita Zaji is a Specialist in General Surgery at Medcare Women and Children Hospital in Dubai, where she leads the breast clinic and manages complex surgical cases. She trained in Iran as a general physician before specializing in general surgery, then relocated to the UAE in 2004. Over 14 years in the Emirates, she worked at Iranian Hospital, Medeor 24x7 Hospital, and Burjeel Hospital for Advanced Surgery, building expertise across multiple surgical disciplines.

Dr. Zaji specializes in breast cancer surgery, including oncoplastic procedures (reshaping tissue during cancer removal), axillary dissection (removal of underarm lymph nodes), and sentinel lymph node biopsy (identifying which nodes need removal). She has extensive experience with both cancerous and benign breast tumors and cysts. Beyond breast work, she performs keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery for abdominal conditions such as gallstones, appendicitis, and hernias, and uses advanced techniques in colorectal surgery including laser treatment for hemorrhoids and pilonidal cysts.

She is fluent in English and Persian and brings nearly three decades of surgical experience to her practice, combining traditional training with modern minimally invasive approaches.
