Dr. Patrick Czorlich

Dr. Patrick Czorlich is a Staff Physician in the Critical Care Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Integrated Hospital Care Institute. He brings 17 years of clinical experience, most recently as Senior Consultant of the Neurosurgical Critical Care Unit at University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf in Germany, where he also served as Head of Medical Education and Training and Residency Program Director. In 2023, he was awarded the title of Professor by the University of Hamburg, recognizing his contributions to the field.

Dr. Czorlich specializes in caring for patients with life-threatening brain conditions, including stroke, brain bleeding, traumatic brain injury, and complex cases requiring neurosurgical intervention. He has particular expertise in managing subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding around the brain) and intracranial hemorrhage, and he performs selected neurosurgical procedures for complex hydrocephalus (fluid buildup in the brain). His work combines intensive medical care with surgical skills to manage the most challenging neurological emergencies.

He is well-published in neurocritical care, with over 65 peer-reviewed articles, and served as Second Vice President and President-Elect of the German Neurocritical Care Society.
