Prof. Mohsen Elmekresh

Prof. Mohsen Elmekresh is a German board-certified urologist and professor of urology and kidney transplantation. He trained at Mainz University in Germany (1997–2003) as an associate professor, and held a professorship at Mansoura University's Urology Centre in Egypt before relocating to Abu Dhabi in 2008. He established the urology referral centre at Mafraq Hospital, where he served as Chief of Urology and Chair of Surgery until 2018. He now leads the urology and men's health department at Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital.

Prof. Elmekresh treats the full range of urological conditions using both traditional and modern techniques. His expertise spans endoscopic and laser-based treatment of kidney and bladder stones, prostate enlargement, urinary cancers, incontinence, and reconstruction of the urinary tract (including ureteral replacement and urethroplasty). He also manages men's health issues such as hormonal imbalance, infertility, and erectile dysfunction, and has particular experience in paediatric urology (children's urological conditions).

He is an active researcher and author of numerous peer-reviewed publications, and serves on multiple international urological societies and scientific committees, bringing evidence-based practice to his clinical work.
