Dr. Ahmed Farrag Alalawi

Dr. Ahmed Farrag Alalawi is an anesthesiologist and pain specialist who joined HealthPoint Abu Dhabi in May 2016. He trained at Kasr Al Ainy Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, where he earned his medical degree in 1993 and specialist qualification in anesthesia in 2002. Before joining HealthPoint, he held senior leadership roles managing anesthesia departments at Beverly Hills Medical Center and Emirates French Hospital in Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Alalawi specializes in acute pain services and labour analgesia, providing all types of anesthesia (except cardiac) for gynecology, obstetrics, eye surgery, ear-nose-throat procedures, orthopedic surgery, and gastrointestinal endoscopy. During his 9 years at Al Mafraq Hospital, a 500-bed tertiary care centre, he participated in emergency field hospital deployments to Yemen and provided anesthesia support for Formula 1 events at Yas Island. He also contributed to the department's accredited academic programs and research activities.

He brings strong operational and educational expertise, having managed operating theatre staff, organized surgical schedules, run postoperative pain clinics, and established continuing medical education programs. His professional development includes advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support, and basic life support certifications from the American Heart Association.
