Dr. Ibrahim Badran

Dr. Ibrahim Badran is a Consultant Paediatrician at NMC Royal Hospital in Abu Dhabi with over 12 years of experience in paediatrics and neonatology. He trained at Alexandria University in Egypt, where he earned his medical degree in 2003, and completed his residency at Demerdash Teaching Hospital. He holds membership in the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK) and has advanced qualifications in paediatric and child nutrition from Hochschule München University in Germany, obtained in 2020.

Dr. Badran's clinical expertise centres on caring for premature and critically ill newborns in neonatal intensive care units. He specialises in neonatal ventilation, non-invasive breathing support, neonatal transport, and the nutrition of both term and preterm babies, including management of extremely low-birthweight infants. His career has taken him across the Gulf region, including senior roles at leading tertiary neonatal units in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait before joining NMC, where he previously led the neonatal intensive care unit at NMC Specialty Hospital.

Dr. Badran is fluent in English and Arabic, which enables him to communicate effectively with families from diverse backgrounds. He is committed to providing advanced, evidence-based care for newborns and children with complex health conditions.
